PROJECT X is a special sole developed in collaboration between The Footsoldiers, a design consultancy specializing in footwear design with a variety of prominent global brands as clients, Vibram, and several other leading suppliers to the footwear industry.
The main appeal of PROJECT X lies in the unparalleled cushioning and high resilience provided by the 5.8cm-thick sole.
The midsole, which boasts the highest level of cushioning among Vibram products, absorbs the impact of walking and converts it into resilience, creating a unique floating sensation similar to that of bouncing. In addition to this sole, OAO combines a highly resilient urethane insole and a natural cork sole to create an even softer, floating sensation.
In addition to this, the special design combining a wide, front-to-back, left-to-right warped outsole and TPU parts to support the footpad provides a high level of stability that is hard to believe with thick soles, and comfort that makes it hard to tire even when standing for long periods of time.
